I am a 51 year old who was tired of being ”sick and tired”.  I have dieted and worked out sporadically most of my life with varying degrees of success with none of them being permanent.  I came to Iron Quest Personal Fitness Training as a last attempt to lose my weight and become physically fit; they have done all I could ask.  The trainers here are supportive and helpful while getting the results I was looking for.  Nutritional advice and wellness education is part of the program.  I lost thirty pounds and six inches off my waistline in the first six months! I FEEL AWESOME!!!  My overall fitness has greatly improved as well as my attitude in life. I have back and knee issues and while Iron Quest is tough, it’s designed to get the most out me while preventing me from injury... in fact my joints feel better than ever. The facility is wonderful, clean and well maintained.  The locker rooms are private so people who have never been gym rats will feel comfortable. The doctors’ solution to my torn hip flexor and arthritic hip was heavy duty pain killers for the past ten years… I could barely walk when I first got to Iron Quest. I was assessed head to toe, and with the careful one on one training I went through, I was able to gain 70% mobility back in my hip and leg. Even though I still had to have my hip replaced, I was off all major pain meds and delayed surgery several years. The hospital staff was shocked at my strength and my ability to maneuver myself after this major surgery. I was able to walk 200 feet and up 4 stairs just hours after surgery! I have lost 105 pounds, 15 inches in my waist, and feel like I turned back the clock more than 20 years!!! I found the staff to be very knowledgeable and up to date with the latest types of resistance training, therapies and mobility exercises. I can now tie my own shoes, which hasn’t happened for more than a decade. Plus, I won my golf league THREE YEARS IN A ROW, which was impossible before Iron Quest. This was all due to the special personal training that I received from these highly skilled professionals. Iron Quest has really saved my life and how could you put a price on life? This is a 5 star establishment!!

I am a 59 year old grandmother of four and had come to a point in my life where I wanted to do something about my physical condition. I was heavier than I wanted to be and had begun to have some issues with flexibility and muscle tone. Most concerning, I was also warned by my doctor that I was dangerously close to becoming diabetic (elevated A1c and fasting glucose levels). I had never worked out in a gym and had been intimidated by the thought of going to a gym. A friend went to Iron Quest Personal Fitness Training who got great results and recommended that I go in and give it a go.
    Initially when I met with Jason I was impressed with the thoroughness of his evaluation and his holistic approach to both nutrition and the workout sessions. The earliest sessions were quite challenging, but with the help and encouragement of the excellent trainers at IQFit I greatly improved my stamina and started looking forward to total body workouts. And, since I was training privately in a studio and not in a public gym, my intimidation quickly faded.
    After several months I am very pleased with my progress. I improved my strength, muscle tone, flexibility, lost nearly 30 pounds, 7-1/2 inches off my waist, and my blood labs have improved tremendously. All this while eating three meals and two snacks a day of REAL food! [Editor’s note: Maureen just had a Doppler study of her carotid artery; the test showed ZERO plaque! And since she has family members with heart disease, this shows it is not "good genes" but a healthy lifestyle that is keep her vascular system clear!]

While I have worked with trainers in the past, Jason McCammon and his staff took a special interest in me that I have never experienced before. As a physician and former aerobics instructor I come from a background that is very familiar with health and fitness. I wasn't sure what personal training really meant when I signed up, but I was really feeling the effects of sitting in an office all day. The only information I knew about strength training came from women's magazines or watching other people in gyms who looked like they knew what they were doing. I have since found out that many of these people are setting themselves up for injury, because very few people take the time to learn how to do train correctly. I had also tried many diets that failed, as usual. Personal Fitness Training was something new and I was a little intimidated, but I thought I would try it.

Jason, the Fitness and Nutrition Director at Iron Quest, is a powerful person, both in mind and body. He really is passionate about nutrition and health. At first I was resistant to all the information I was provided, because some of it ran counter to what I had been taught to believe. However, I decided that I would trust Jason and I am so happy I did. Strength training is addictive. I really didn't expect to like it as much as I do. It is so nice to work one-on-one with a trainer who knows you and works with you individually each week. It helps enormously to have a professional there to push you and keep training fun. The results have been great too; in addition to losing 30 pounds and 11 inches between my waist, hips, and legs, I just feel better. My posture has improved and I feel more confident. It feels good to be strong and even my family noticed the results. My two sons have since signed up and of course they love it too! I hoped to firm up and lose whatever excess I could- being average height and weight at 5-4 and generally 140-145, wearing size 10’s. My body fat was in the high 30%'s.

Since my husband was very critical of my endeavor, saying I didn’t need to pay anyone for the the following advice: 'Eat Less. Work Out More.' I suppose from the start I had something to prove - that this was worth it (and I was worth it!). I followed the recommendations to the letter which was astonishingly easy because of the amazing results that were occuring.

Several months later I am a solid 115 pounds with 21% body fat, wearing size 2!! My jaw line has reappeared as have my cheekbones. My abs and arms are actually defined. I am healthy and strong and having a ton of fun with clothing and admiring compliments. I am in better shape than when I was 17 years old. My labwork is phenomenal. I worked out diligently with free weights on my own for several years before coming to Iron Quest Personal Fitness Training. Although I knew that weight training was a key component of fitness, I gradually came to realize that whatever I was doing on my own was not having much of an effect.
